What we collect

Bridgeword has no accounts and no sign-in, and sets no tracking cookies of its own (our ad partner does; see Advertising). To run the game, our server receives:

Like every website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and block abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Stored on your device

Your language, light/dark choice, Daily Bridge streak and results, and an unfinished Endless run are saved in your browser's local storage so they're still there next time. They never leave your device; clearing your browser data removes them.

Wikipedia

When you ask why two subjects connect, our server (not your browser) fetches the text from Wikipedia. When you tap a subject to read its summary, your browser loads that summary directly from Wikipedia, so Wikipedia sees that request like any other visit. Translations of English text are made by your browser's built-in translator, where it has one. Links to Wikipedia articles open Wikipedia, which has its own privacy policy.

Advertising

Bridgeword is free and paid for by ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads, which may be based on your previous visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google's My Ad Center, and see how Google uses data from sites that show its ads at policies.google.com. Other ad companies may also set cookies; you can opt out of many at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before cookies are used for ads.

Children

Bridgeword is not directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect their personal information.
